The Madhya Pradesh Assembly’s five-year tenure will end on 6 January 2024. For a new tenure, the single-phase election in Madhya Pradesh concluded on 17 November 2023. The voting was conducted for all 230 seats, for which more than 2500 candidates had been nominated.
According to the data provided by the Election Commission of India, a total of 71.26% voting was recorded for the total 230 seats. The highest voter turnout was recorded in Agar Malwa district which is 82% while the lowest voting turnout was recorded in Alirajpur district approx. 56.24 %.
The results of the state Assembly elections will be announced on December 3rd after the votes have been counted. Guidelines have been issued across the state regarding vote counting on December 3. Not only this, a Dry day will declared in the Capital city Indore on the day of counting.

At present, there is a BJP government in Madhya Pradesh in which the chief minister is Shivraj Singh Chauhan. Now it will be interesting to see who will win in the upcoming election.
Before the results are declared, people are eagerly waiting for the exit polls which will be released on November 30.
